A big part of Marg's heart and soul is still in Antigua even though she now lives in Canada with her husband and three daughters. Margaret-Clare, as she is known in Antigua, was born at the family home in Side Hill, overlooking St. John's harbour, in Antigua to Roy Mendes and Frances Ann Anjo in 1956. She was raised on the island and went to Christ The King High School. She moved to Canada in 1967 to complete her education. She makes frequent trips to Antigua to visit her family and "fill up her cup".
